Celebrate Your Team Today: On my way to Seattle BUT not before we celebrate some Best of the Best for Jan !!! I’m at the airport and on the way to a Microsoft event along with a few partners (More to come on that in later posts..exciting times !!!) But before I boarded I wanted to call out some individuals. Individuals that in the month of January stood out. That in itself is a tough job given the great crew I have…they set the bar high !!! (#BTE : Best Team Ever) Every month, prior to our Monthly Managers Meetings, my team shares stories based upon 3 categories which I think are self explanatory and exemplify who we are as a Sales Org -Performers -Team Work -Extra Mile I appreciate them bringing these stories forward, thanks to Brenna Farahvashi for volunteering to help me coordinate the stories and names. As a result my team (Like most groups) get to call out these people at the monthly meeting. I am going to start posting those names to show that the Best Team Ever likes to celebrate the Best !!! I'm usually terrible at celebrating wins in business. But I have to say, I'm feeling pretty proud of myself today! Hosted my first-ever Masterclass last night and it was a great success 🙌 I've always said I should do one but end up putting it off and another month passes and nothing happens. You really don't realise how much effort and work goes into hosting these events until you do one! The admin side of it is probably the worst....the landing pages, email sequences, spending another 5 hours troubleshooting something because it's decided to not work. This is your reminder to celebrate your wins, I know we're all pretty terrible at it sometimes. I'll be taking myself out for dinner to celebrate 🍷 #smallbusinesssuccess #businessmarketing

'More' is certainly one metric, but 'engagement' has always been my focus. Today I called (actually phoned) 62 MD's of UK Recruitment Agencies - already knowing (from previous calls) what Recruitment CRM they use, and hence the likely issues they have. This volume of calls seems to scare many Sales people, but I'll share todays stats with you. Today I left messages for 42 MD's (below average), but I also sent them a connection request/inmail, explaining I'll call back tmrw (and I will) - these 42 attempts took apx 1 minute each. 12 calls to MD's got me other peoples names - so I connected with the gatekeepers AND connected with the new names - these took less than a minute also. So that 54 clicks on a phone number, voice messages left, emails sent, names entered and linkedin connections found and sent - within an hour. The 2nd calls that go to voice mail hear "How's the relationship with your existing CRM supplier?? - Do they call you back when they say they will?" 3 MD's took my calls today (1 was pure luck and was pure cold), 2 we're MD's who'd heard my VM's/read my emails/connected on linkined. One MD laughed when I said it was me - 'I get your messages'. (I knew, we track open rates) One MD sounded exhausted, which turned into a 35 minute chat about IronMan and living in France, I said he should fire some of his team for letting the phone ring 90 seconds - he agreed. I got my two meetings. I only need two meetings a day. (and only want two meetings) But I always call 60-70 people on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday. Some days I get no meetings, my record is 11. You can never win at 'more', but it's easy to win at 'engagement'.
