Join us for an engaging session by Dr. Paul Kirman & Dr. Venus So of Promethean Particles titled "Promethean Particles: Carbon Capture on a Grander Scale" at the powder X-ray diffraction UK user meeting. Secure your spot: https://lnkd.in/ebM2aaa3 The event will focus on presenting data from Rigaku powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) equipment from multi-user and multi-disciplinary environments. The meeting will host speakers highlighting the benefits and advantages the Rigaku XRD equipment have on their work. Speakers from Rigaku Europe will also present material on the MiniFlex & SmartLab advanced diffractometer techniques. Finally, there will be an opportunity to attend a practical session on the SmartLab® equipment at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, and a panel discussion to provide feedback to the organisation. This event is primarily aimed at XRD users in the UK, interested in standard and advanced Rigaku XRD techniques. Don't forget to secure your spot: https://lnkd.in/ebM2aaa3 See you there! #UserMeeting #XRayDiffraction #Crystallography #MaterialsScience #XRDResearch #AnalyticalEquipment #RigakuEvent #Coatings #CoatingsAnalysis #PowderXRD

Exciting News! 🤖🎉 Our latest research paper has been accepted for an oral presentation at IROS 2024! Title: 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 Our paper tackles the challenge of determining optimal inspection poses to perform fast and complete inspections in highly constrained environments. We propose a framework that involves an optimization routine, tested both in simulations and experimentally on objects with various characteristics. Coauthors: Tobias Glück, Philipp Schneider, and Andreas Kugi Check out our video for a brief overview of our work!

Hi Folks, I'm On my way to Tokyo for the Asia Pacific PHM Conference. Here is a link to the paper I am presenting on using the Quadratic Equation to solve or the remaining useful life of a component. The paper demonstrates this using vibration data from a bearing fault, a gear fault, and another bearing fault using oil debris monitoring. This is a nice real-world example of using the quadratic, which I thought was pretty cool. https://lnkd.in/eyPj9eyD
