Wonderfully organized PAN IIT Conference by TiE Seattle today. I had a great time meeting fellow alumni and hearing amazing entrepreneurship stories. Sunny Gupta's Apptio journey from VC to IPO to PE and finally IBM is legendary. From getting their first customer to pay $1K to getting a $1M customer, it's inspiring what relentless execution can do. Wonderful to hear Joseph Sirosh, Jon Turow and others on the AI panel. They were spot on to combine the optimism of not staying behind in Gen AI with the pragmatism of making it work for real. Finally, my favorite section was hearing the startup veterans. The hard road to founding, raising, persisting, pivoting, scaling, just to name a few, resonated so much more. Thanks Vikram Chalana and others for sharing your stories! Last but not the least, great to see my dear friend Kunal Kishore and learn how Upwork is looking to leverage Gen AI to up-level their business.
