What we're reading: AI Is Undermining Customer Experience, Research Reveals via @CXscoop https://lnkd.in/gkPvttPV The average quality of customer experience in the US has dropped to a historic low according to Forrester’s US Customer Experience Index rankings. This may or may not be due to an influx of AI handling calls in the #contactcenter. Alchemer's hot take: While CX levels are down, there is no direct correlation between CX levels and AI usage. Purpose-built AI still has the ability to solve customer challenges, but it matters how that AI is used and deployed. It's our belief that AI should manage manual tasks, leaving humans available to handle more complex or empathetic tasks.
