Avoid drinking alcohol on Sunday as it makes you tired the following day. 2. Down tools on Sunday. At best only note down the things you plan to do on Monday and close your notebook and laptop and spend quality time with family. 3. Eat lightly on Sunday evening assuming you had a heavy meal for lunch. Food tends to make us lethargic. 4. Sleep early on Sunday! This must be a nonnegotiable! 5. Avoid breakfast on Monday morning and only eat from lunchtime. There you go! Wishing a productive Monday to everyone!

As we head towards the end of another week, it is possible to be feeling a little frazzled. To help destress, here's a great build on the Stephen M. R. Covey work around circles of control and influence. Before the weekend starts and you have the opportunity to spend time with family and friends, perhaps take a little time out and use this to refocus yourself on the things you can control and let go of those concerns that you cannot. Happy Friday. #wellbeing #focus #control

I help teams increase engagement and effectivity through communication and emotional intelligence | Keynote Speaker | ICF Certified Executive & Life Coach | Author
Motivation Monday- Make FOCUS Fun! It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when facing a week especially coming up to the holidays. Our minds are a revolving door of things-to-do lists rather than feeling focused. Here’s an acronym that I recently discovered that I found to be helpful. Follow One Course Until Success FOCUS!!! Pick one to three key actions for the day, and “follow one course until success,” not only will you feel more accomplished but you’ll train your busy brain to slow down and be more present. Kinda like eating a nourishing meal slowly and deliberately versus snacking all day and just feeling bloated and unsatisfied. #keynotespeakernyc #mindfulnessspeakernyc #goslowtogofast #effectiveleadership

Surrounding yourself with the right people is crucial for your mental and emotional well-being. It's like choosing the right toppings on your pizza! You want to make sure you're picking the right people to be around, just like you're picking the right toppings to go on your pizza. Here are three reasons why it's important to have good people in your life: 1. The people you surround yourself with can have a huge impact on your self-esteem. Think about it, if you're always around people who are tearing you down, it's going to affect the way you see yourself. On the other hand, if you're around positive, supportive people, you'll feel more confident and capable. It's like having your own personal cheerleading squad! 2. The people you surround yourself with can influence your behavior. We tend to mimic the behavior of those around us. If you're around someone who's always complaining, you start to complain too. But if you're around someone who's always working hard, you feel motivated to do the same. So, if you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people. 3. The people you surround yourself with can affect your stress levels. If you're around people who are always stressed and anxious, it's going to rub off on you. But if you're around people who are calm and relaxed, you'll feel more at ease. It's like having a personal zen garden! So, choose your friends wisely, like you choose your toppings on your pizza. Share your thoughts in the comments below about the importance of surrounding ourselves with the right people. Remember, we're all in this together! #people #friends #positivepeople #positivity

I don't have the Sunday Scaries anymore. Why? The company that I work for cares about me and they show it. How? They invest time and energy into ensuring that I'm able to achieve my personal goals. The best part of my job is knowing that I'm helping other people also beat the Sunday Scaries by helping companies show that they care about their employees. Does your team get the Sunday Scaries? P.S. While there is never enough sleep, according to my dog, Tokki, he is very satisfied with the amount of good sleep that we get on Sunday nights. #sundayscaries #execonline #learninganddevelopment #learn #humanresources

"Spicing Up Work with Laughter: Finding the Right Recipe for Humor" Hey there, Let's talk about something that can turn your work routine from "meh" to "wow" – humor! Just like how a little bit of salt makes your fries go from boring to tasty, humor can make your work environment super cool. But hold on, just like too much salt can spoil your dish, too much humor can make things a bit weird. Let's dive into how humor can make work awesome and when it might need a little tone-down. Adding Yummy Goodness with Humor: Teamwork Feels Like Hanging Out: Imagine if your work buddies were also your pals. Humor can make your team feel like a bunch of friends tackling tasks together. Sharing jokes makes the work journey smoother and more fun. Chilling Out Stress: Work can sometimes feel like a mountain of stuff to do. Humor is like a little ninja that sneaks in and helps you relax. Laughing about challenges can make them feel less scary and more like puzzles you can solve together. Cooking Up Creative Ideas: Think of humor as a magical spice that makes your brain cook up awesome ideas. When you're relaxed and having fun, your creativity flows like a river. Meetings become more like brainstorming parties! Talking and Listening, Easy Peasy: Ever played a game where everyone gets a turn? Humor makes conversations like that – everyone gets to join in and share. No more boring one-way talks! When Humor Gets a Bit Extra: Tangled Tongue Twists: Ever tried to tell a joke, but it came out all mixed up? Too much humor can make conversations a bit messy, like when you add too much sauce to your pasta. Laughing More Than Working: Imagine if you spent more time laughing than getting work done. It's like watching your favorite show when you should be doing homework – fun, but not so helpful. Too Much Flavor, Too Little Dish: Imagine eating a whole spoon of salt – not tasty, right? Too much humor can hide the serious stuff at work, like forgetting the main dish in a fancy meal. Conclusion: So, now you know the secret ingredient to making work awesome – humor! Just like how a pinch of salt makes your food rock, a dash of humor can make your work world amazing. But remember, like a wizard chef, you need to use the right amount. A sprinkle of humor makes things cool, but too much can be a bit too crazy. Keep the laughter flowing, but don't forget the work feast. Happy cooking, and may your work days be seasoned with just the right amount of humor!
