"Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Attending NYLS 2024 was undoubtedly one of the most memorable moments of the year. One thing about AIESEC conferences is that they always deliver on quality. The sessions, the people, the experiences, and even the food were all top-notch. Here are some key lessons I took away from the conference held in Kumasi for young people in AIESEC: 🎯 Be Intentional: You can’t just wait for life to give you what you want. Set a goal and live every day with the aim of getting closer to that goal. 🎯 Embrace Feedback: People always have opinions about the work we do. It’s in your best interest to choose the opinions that will make you a better person than you were yesterday. Joining AIESEC has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Are you part of an organization that has influenced your life immensely? Comment below and tell us how!

Like the blue from the wide ocean who sailed by its strongest sailor, here I am who overcame challenges and grow through it. Remember the fear of the open ocean and the waves crashing against a fragile boat? That’s what university felt like at first for me. Was this the life I’d envisioned? Did I actually belong here? Then AIESEC appeared as a lifeboat on the horizon. Hesitantly, I jumped aboard, a wide-eyed newie in Brand and Marketing. The complexity of the organisation intimidated me, but Pandora welcomed me with open arms. My TL showed me the ropes of trust and direction, slowly increasing my confidence. But the journey was not without its setbacks. Self-doubt resurfaced, threatening to drag me down. Was I ready? Was this even the right time? However, AIESEC became my compass, reminding me of my values, resilience, and agility. I learned to embrace the undiscovered, to find strength in collaboration, and to see improvement even in the most difficult circumstances. As I said in my application’s intention letter, my transition from newie to Network Maintain Team Leader is a dance of growth and determination; it’s an opportunity to become the leader I never imagined I could be. AIESEC challenged and transformed me, demonstrating the power of courage and collaboration. So, let’s set sail together, chart a path for a better future, and leave an indelible mark on every shore we touch. I’m Sasa, Network Maintenance TL of AIESEC in IPB and I’m checking in! President, Students' Representative Council, Nigerian Law School, Kano Campus | Pursuing a career in Blockchain, Securities & Fintech Policies & Regulations
AIESEC took a lot from me, but I also escaped with some. One of the highlights of my undergraduate journey was joining AIESEC in LAGOS - a youth-led organization. I remember my brother giving me the money to get the form then. However, after a lousy search of where the meeting is supposed to hold, I put the money to other uses. After all, outer strength comes from inner satisfaction. After joining in 2018, I wished I had joined way earlier. It's a regret most people have after joining. When you realize there's little time to do or experience the organization thoroughly. While there, I picked up skills that landed me my first role and paycheck. Till now, I still benefit from the experience and the skills I acquired while in the organization. But if you ask what it took, sincerely, a lot. You start to realize the level of commitment and financials needed during the orientation. Of course, AIESECers never shy away from talking about their global influences and recognition. "Do you know what Koffi Anan said about AIESEC? Have you heard what world leaders are saying about AIESECers?" "Yes, I know, but why is my application form #1,500? Isn't this volunteer?" As much as people realize there are a lot of benefits from joining, some also recognize that the organization might not be the next step for them. Which is fine. We all chart different our experiences through different means. But for all of what the organization took from me, I gained quintessential skills which have shaped and continue to influence my experiences and decisions. Was it worth it? Definitely. Will I do it again? Most definitely.

I talk about Networking, Client Acquisition and Customer Relations | AIESEC in Pune | Computer Science | Pune University | Enthusiastic Investor
Three months ago, I made the bold decision to join AIESEC. Little did I know, the journey ahead would be filled with twists and turns... 🗣️ "My friends told me it's a waste of time to join AIESEC." 🤔 "Some questioned my decision, suggesting it's not worth the effort." 💬 "Others thought I wouldn't be committed enough." The outcome of this leap of faith was nothing short of remarkable: I discovered my passion and purpose, igniting a fire within me to soar beyond limits, daring to pursue excellence. I realized it was time to grow untamed. Though the path seemed daunting at first, I soon realized two truths: - Every obstacle is an opportunity for growth. 🌱 - My journey toward personal and professional excellence had only just begun. 🚀 With unwavering determination, I embraced the challenges and seized the chance to create positive change, redefining boundaries. Remember: Your decisions today shape your tomorrow. Seize every opportunity to pursue the bigger picture, and do whatever it takes to paint your sky with vibrant hues of success. ✨ #AIESEConLinkedin

What an amazing journey I have been on with AIESEC Australia Ltd. As my term as VP ends I hope to share with you my experience and express my gratitude to everyone who has impacted me. In the beginning of 2022, I made a decision that took me on an adventure of tough challenges, conflict, fulfilment, and growth. Post-Covid I felt disconnected from society, and hoped that joining what I thought was a uni club could help me feel 'better' as university wasn't what I had thought it to be. How wrong I was. Not a uni club, but an international organisation that has gave me the foundation for a network that traversed just my own university, city, and even country! The challenges and opportunities it gave me to grow far surpassed what I thought imaginable as I began to feel more comfortable in myself and my own skin - something that I struggled with greatly in my youth. With this, I decided to take the leap and was successful in my application as the Business Development Vice President at the start of 2023. Now a part of the executive board, I had a lot more responsibility to lead my own team and learn more about myself in a working environment. These were the three key things I learnt during my term: - Conflict is something that shouldn't be avoided. Rather it is something that should be embraced to allow a team to be on the same page about a common goal - Giving purpose and validation are key skills in motivating and influencing other individuals - To be successful, there must be a focus on both efficiency of operations and team culture To my coaches: Alyssa A. Alex Tan Thank you for guiding me throughout my journey. I don't give you both enough appreciation, but you have both inspired me to be a better leader and a better person. Learning from you has been amazing, as you continuously provide insightful feedback and nudge me in the direction of positive growth :) To my Executive Board: Jocelyn Lau Martin Liu Shruti Narasimhan Neil Edward Aryl Teh Quynh Anh Tran Thu Anh Hoàng A journey that was filled with ups and downs where tears were shed, smiles were grown and stomaches were torn with laughter. Challenging each other at every turn was definitely one of the most fulfilling times in my life. I want to thank you for testing me, questioning my beliefs and inherently always pushing me to grow. Our year together whilst filled with stress, was greatly offset by all the difficulties we overcome together. You will always hold a special place in my heart as I honestly look back at our year fondly, as I cherish the way you all impacted me to be the person I am today. Lastly, to all of the other people who I have been fortunate enough to interact with during my AIESEC experience - thank you! Whether big, small, positive OR negative. I am grateful for how you influenced the person I am, and leader I aspire to be. I look forward to all the opportunities that life has in store, and am excited for the next chapter of my journey!

Before encountering AIESEC, I encountered several challenges: - Communication proficiency was lacking. - Excessive indulgence in social media platforms was prevalent. - Articulation of thoughts and ideas was often hesitant. - The intricacies of teamwork remained unexplored. - Self-assurance and confidence levels were notably low. Following engagement with AIESEC, notable developments ensued: - Proficiency in interpersonal communication blossomed. - An expansive network of social connections was cultivated. - Proficiency in time management was honed. - A palpable boost in self-confidence and assurance transpired. Should the prospect of AIESEC intrigue you, do not hesitate to initiate contact. Assistance and guidance are readily available.✌️ #AIESEConLinkedIn

Student at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics | Senior Marketing Manager at AIESEC in Mumbai
On my first day of college, I expected it to be like something out of a Dharma movie. But the reality was quite different—I ended up sitting in the wrong class and embarrassing myself. We often set high expectations for college, only to realize that instead of being the most popular and talented kid from high school, we become just another average student in a sea of many, struggling to reach our full potential. I experienced something similar when I moved from Banaras to Bombay. I had left behind my entire life with expectations of excelling and standing out, but instead, I found myself slowly blending into the crowd. That's when I got the opportunity to join AIESEC, which turned out to be the best decision of my life. AIESEC has not only helped me broaden my horizons but has also allowed me to be completely true to myself and as authentic as possible. I've always enjoyed meeting new people and public speaking, and AIESEC has provided me with a platform to fully embrace all aspects of myself. As an AIESECer, I’ve experienced a perfect blend of leadership as well as teamwork while making new friends that too on a global level. This unique experience has not only added depth to my personal and professional* growth but has also allowed me to engage with diverse perspectives. Someone from the organization once told me that "AIESEC fixes that little crack that is there in all of us," and this is something that resonates with me the most. It will stay with me for life because AIESEC has given me a space to explore, fail, and still be the best version of myself. aiesec.in/join #aiesec #aiesecinmumbai #wearerecruiting #aiesecrecruitment #recruitment #leadership #globalexposure #personaldevelopment #professionaldevelopment #networking #exposure #buildyoucv #limitlesspossibilities #applynow #joinus

*Stop showing off ; let your actions speak about you as actions speak louder than words* This is one of the most interesting rules I keep following. I learned it through my journey at AIESEC . In our daily life we usually meet ppl who are showing off more than working; who are just depending on what they did in the past instead of keep improving and doing much more achievements. For sure it is okay to have a moment of celebrating your achievements, but always remember that you still have a long journey of learning and gaining knowledge . Remember how the world is changing around us which makes us need to learn and gain knowledge and experience day over day instead of just showing off for what we did in the past . Let's focus on making some actions 👌

I talk about Cross Cultural Experiences and Promote Sustainable Development Goals. Junior Manager in the Outgoing Social Sector AIESEC in Bengaluru | Younity.in | CodeonBytes | Bijliride
About a month ago, I chose to commit to AIESEC I never thought I'd be hit with that much peer pressure… ➡ Are you sure about committing to that? ➡ What if it's a scam? ➡ Isn't there something better to do with your time? ➡ Is it worth your time? Despite these doubts, I took the leap and joined AIESEC. Since then, I've experienced personal growth, expanded my network, and developed valuable leadership skills. Dealing with negativity was hard, but here's what I gained: ➡ Following My Passion: AIESEC perfectly aligns with my desire to contribute something positive on a global scale. ➡ Unleashing My Potential: Stepping outside my comfort zone pushed me further than I thought possible. Remember: Growth lies beyond comfort zones. Chase what excites you, even if it's different. 🍀 PS: Grateful for the amazing support from the AIESEC team. They've truly enhanced this journey for me! #AIESEConLinkedIn
