Eduardo H. Karlin believes Australia will be a very fast-moving and evolving market for offshore wind development: ✅ Regulatory framework - growing optimism that an efficient framework will be in place quickly ✅ Supply chain - a ‘convoy’ of projects coming down the track will entice supply chain companies to set-up locally ✅ New market - Australia is a new market and can avoid the pitfalls from other more mature markets ✅ Technology - as new offshore wind technology comes to fruition, Australia will be able to take full advantage of advancements in turbine models to optimise excellent wind conditions. Hear further insights about the current market, on how to move it forward quickly and the challenges that will arise along the way at #APACSummit, Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). https://lnkd.in/eCswDXYE

Energy transition: in it to accelerate it together with our key customers and partners!
A clear mission: to lead the way towards the ambitious goal of 120 GW of wind energy in the North Sea by 2030 💪 In a landmark meeting, the CEOs of North Sea transmission system operators, technology manufacturers and the offshore wind #industry came together today in Brussels for the crucial "North Sea Energy Leaders Meeting". A set of strong recommendations presented to #Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson underlines the urgency of the situation: ⚡Set a predictable course for the #offshore grid and offshore wind development for the #future ⚡Ensure a sufficient business case for all involved parties of a hybrid interconnector and meshed offshore grid ⚡Ensure scale-up of offshore wind farms, including bankability and reliability ⚡Ramp up the supply chains by creating predictability ⚡Accelerate permitting of onshore grids to allow the integration of more offshore grids The future of North Sea wind energy hinges on these concerted efforts, as endorsed by industry leaders Chris Peeters (Elia), Stefan Kapferer (50Hertz Transmission GmbH), Katie Jackson (National Grid Venture), Tim Holt (Siemens Energy), Claudio Facchin (Hitachi Energy), Thomas Egebo (Energinet), Giles Dickson (WindEurope), Regis Boigegrain (Réseau de Transport d'Électricité), Johan Bindele (GE), Tim Meyerjürgens (TenneT TSO GmbH), Manon van Beek (TenneT) European Commission
