50,000 Subscribers 🤯 Last week Refactoring crossed 50K subscribers, which is just an unbelievable milestone! And we are close to 1400 paid subscribers, which is equally astounding. I am forever grateful to everyone who is following this journey and is trusting me with their time and attention 🙏 Here are also other updates from the last quarter, which was extremely packed: 1) 🏆 Referral program — we launched the first ever referral program for Refactoring, which already brought 1500+ new subscribers. 2) 📗 Book Club — we started a book club in the community, where we read a book every two months, and review it together in a live event. 3) 🎟️ Events — we doubled down on bringing good guests to tell their experience, and we had some incredible ones like Kaz Nejatian, Vic Vijayakumar, and James Cowling. Refactoring is about making good software and working well together. If you are an engineer, or a manager in a big tech or a high-growth startup, it is the place for you! Ever wondered how to find the perfect investor and what you should look out for? Entrepreneurship often feels like a tightrope act between belief and doubt, and partnering with the right investor can tip the scales in your favour. But with investors ranging from blindly loyal to relentlessly critical, how do you find your perfect match? Drawing from years of boardroom discussions and investor interactions, our Co-Founder Elliot Conway has identified eight investor types and unveiled "The C-Sweet Spot" for navigating this crucial decision. #Entrepreneurship #Investment #BusinessGrowth
I just published my first article here on LinkedIn. I'm still figuring this stuff out so would be very grateful for any feedback. This one identifies and explores 8 different Investor Types and works out which ones hold the key to success. https://lnkd.in/epsY5TwK

Today, we simply wanted to take a moment to say thank you! Without your support and help from the get-go, this adventure simply couldn't exist. We are very different from the companies we've been able to incubate and launch so far; we have far fewer resources to recruit teams. It is hardly surprising given that as much money as possible should be dedicated to innovation, (which is what we want, and why TFTP exists in the first place). Compared with other start-ups with a similar level of notoriety, we shouldn’t have 12 people on board but 100 employees! Without you, it would have been impossible to keep the project afloat. Thanks to you, we can count on: 👉 7,000 reviewers, who help us select the best innovations, free of charge. 👉 14 scientific expert volunteers on our scientific committee, who review the selection of evaluators four times a year. 👉 12 members on the Supervisory Board. They represent your interests, and without them, many mistakes would probably have been made. They ensure that every major strategic decision is carefully thought through. 👉 A number of dedicated (and brilliant) partners within our galaxy of action! They are at the heart of the TFTP reactor. They're the ones who get the ball rolling with every communication and allow TFTP to grow in lots of different ways. 👉 You, as one of our 100,000+ shareholders! As you know, unlike a donation, an investment in TFTP makes you a co-owner of this adventure. Without your regular support for a myriad of things, in particular here on social networks, TFTP would never have been able to achieve a fraction of what it has today (which by the way, is just the beginning). 👉 9 first validated investments, and the teams behind all these first companies, who turn this crazy energy for the climate into concrete and tangible improvements! In short: thank you for being here! We can't tell you how lucky we are to have you 💚 To help us roll out 100 large-scale open source decarbonization projects, join us in 2 minutes on team-planet.com.

Sneak-peak into what we're doing at Aleph! People often ask me - what are you doing there? are you just due-diligencing companies all day? Well, the answer is - absolutely not! we're actually building an amazing platform called Ampliphy! Yes, these are relatively internal (to Aleph and the portfolio), behind-the-scenes products, but they make a meaningful impact on our portfolio (and maybe someday, even beyond) Watch below 👇
We’re really bad at talking about Ampliphy. So bad at it that founders like Ami Daniel and Michal Beinisch thought it was either “magic” or “complete bull$HiT” (we love you Ami!). What actually is it? Ampliphy is an operating system we built to service the hell out of our entrepreneurs, by automating serendipity and creating goodwill at scale. This software platform changes companies’ trajectories by mapping and navigating networks and providing unique access and connections to people, knowledge, companies, and insights. There’s an entire team at Aleph dedicated to improving the tools and products that fall under the Ampliphy umbrella, in order to map these networks, facilitate warm intros to investors and companies, help recruit top talent…and hopefully the video below will explain better than we can. Big thank you to Erez Dickman, Noy Madorsky, Maya Sover Eivensitz, Yonatan Bakalash, Jonathan (Yonatan) Adiri, Matan Bar, Daniel Schreiber, Dor Yakobovich, Michal Beinisch, Ami Daniel, Oz Alon, Naama Alon, and Yuval Samet for helping to tell the Ampliphy story. "Our future pulls us more than our past pushes us... and time is just a tool." Loved getting to hear Benjamin Hardy, PhD, speak during our 2-day SaaS Academy immersion on the psychology of impossible goal setting today and delve into the idea that: We tend to live in the present based on what we have seen in the past, but achieving impossible goals happens when you have a clear vision of the future. So, we worked throughout our intensive to take some time to "shatter assumptions" rooted in a false frame today by: 1) Creating a 100% clear future vision. 2) Bringing 100% belief 100% of the time. 3) Questioning requirements. 4) Saying no to good to get to great. 5) Staying grateful you get to play the game. Appreciate all the coaches and founders walking this journey with us! Marcel Petitpas, Dan Martell, Johnny Page, Dev Basu, Michael Manzi, Matt Verlaque

Today, after fifteen years, I'll close the doors of Futurice behind me. I don't have the words to summarize my stay in a concise manner. I've spent well over a third of my life at Futurice. Whenever someone leaves from Futurice it's the custom to write a little goodbye note. Like many others, I also included some important people from my path to the message. In fact, the list was over a hundred names long and included many who have left Futurice ages ago. I want to raise five people from my list here. Firstly, because most of them aren't able to see my original post. And secondly, because they are the ones who have affected my professional path thus far the most. So, I guess, it's a kudos or whatever you LinkedIn-kids call it these days. Here we go: Teemu Turunen for teaching me healthy scepticism, keeping your head no matter what, and pushing me to explore new roles. Pirja Heiskanen for encouraging me to switch to HR, teaching me about business, decision making, and balancing between priorities in a humane manner. Laura Snellman-Junna for supporting me when I was just learning to stand on my own two feet, and showing how to consider people and their needs in a truly caring manner. Minna Mustakallio for being a sparring partner on the most cumbersome questions, and being an example on how to connect the small things to the BIG picture way beyond the company boundaries. And finally, Hanno Nevanlinna for the countless discussions and always asking the uncomfortable but ever so necessary questions to make a change in the world. What's next, you might ask? Something completely different.

So apparently we’ve been hiring candidates through robots. I thought the intro to Nitzan Shenkerman came from Aleph, but this video made me realize that we actually got connected through automation. Relationships founded on trust are the catalysts for building companies – from funding and talent to sales and business development. Ampliphy leverages the power of using your network at scale, so that the trust element is already built in when we hire. Check out the video to see what I mean.

Oh Ampliphy! I miss it so much. How can you create a report detailing all the investors who have previously approached you and are able to invest a specified amount? How do you track who the BD team met with and tag them as someone we have a good relationship with? How can you quickly locate that one needle in the haystack that will help you smash your KPIs? Eden Shochat, Michael Eisenberg, Tomer Diari, Yael Elad - reiterating my longdue request - please give your portcos full access to this already!! ;) (and until then, I had to build something similar at Simply 🤷🏽♀️) Seriously, Ampliphy is my forever crush. Check out the video to see why.

I knew Aleph was part of my hiring process with Sequence, but I had no idea it happened through Ampliphy. Ampliphy is a tool that @Aleph created to automate serendipity - AKA mapping networks and providing unique access and connections to people. To be honest, I’m still not totally sure what it is, but I love working at Sequence so I’m here for it ;) Check out the video below.
