Introducing AdaOne's Feature of the Day: Mesh Offsetting (STP Edition).
Optimize your Brep CAD files, such as .STEP or .3dm, with #AdaOne's advanced Mesh Offsetting tool, tailored for precision and flexibility.
Key Features:
Offset Solid: Apply a fixed offset to the entire solid or to selected faces of your STP file. This feature includes an automated repair process to ensure a water-tight result.
Shell Solid: Create hollowed solids by offsetting and merging with the original geometry. The automated repair ensures a seamless finish.
Thicken Open Surfaces: Offset an open surface in the direction of the surface normal and connect it with the original surface to form a closed solid.
Offset Surface: Generate a new open surface by offsetting an existing open surface in the direction of the surface normal.
Extend Surface: Extend an open surface at its boundary, approximately tangentially to the surface, to create a new open surface.
Non-Isotropic Offset: Available for both Mesh and STP editions, this option allows you to apply different offsets in each direction (x, y, and z). Check out the video to see this feature in action!
How to Use:
- Import your Brep CAD file, such as .STEP or .3dm.
- Select the desired Mesh Offsetting tool.
- Apply the fixed offset to the entire solid or selected faces, with the option for non-isotropic offset.
- Utilize the automated repair process for a seamless result.
Elevate your Brep CAD models with AdaOne's Mesh Offsetting tool for superior control and accuracy. Also, watch our related video for the Mesh Edition to see these features in action for meshed CAD files!

Introducing AdaOne's Feature of the Day: Mesh Offsetting (Mesh Edition).
Transform your meshed CAD files with #AdaOne's versatile Mesh Offsetting tool, designed to enhance and modify your 3D models effortlessly.
Key Features:
Offset Solid: Apply a fixed offset to solid surfaces, either inward or outward. The mesh undergoes an automated repair to remove self-intersections and close holes, ensuring a water-tight solid.
Shell Solid: Hollow out a solid by offsetting and merging with the original geometry. Like the Offset Solid tool, the mesh is automatically repaired before the operation.
Thicken Open Surfaces: Offset an open surface in the direction of the surface normal and connect it with the original surface to form a closed solid.
Offset Surface: Offset an open surface in the direction of the surface normal, creating a new open surface.
Extend Surface: Extend an open surface at its boundary, approximately tangentially to the surface, resulting in a new open surface.
How to Use:
- Import your meshed CAD file.
- Select the desired Mesh Offsetting tool.
- Apply the fixed offset, inward or outward, to achieve your desired modification.
- Utilize the automated repair process for a seamless result.
Enhance your meshed CAD models with precision and ease using AdaOne's Mesh Offsetting tool. Try it out today and see the difference! Also, watch our related video for the STP Edition to see these features in action for Brep CAD files!

In many manufacturing projects, combining different print sequences is essential to meet design specifications and ensure excellent mechanical properties.
The process begins with the base being printed using the planar along curve strategy, followed by logos added with non-planar slicing.
Achieving this requires precise and accurate simulation to avoid collisions, mastery of the technology to start and stop a bead cleanly, and attention to many other crucial details for a reliable setup.
The print is executed using Massive Dimension's MDPH2 extruder mounted on a Universal Robots UR10e—a versatile setup perfect for various applications.
Massive Dimension offers machines designed with simplicity, safety, and affordability in mind, making them perfect for large-scale training and education.
These machines empower users to easily and quickly understand and harness robotic 3D printing, maximizing the potential of future industry possibilities.
Check out the video to see how our solutions can elevate your projects and training programs.
