As Pride Month comes to a close, we want to share our support and belief in the importance of recognizing and honoring the LGBTQIA+ community and our employees. We aim to actively continue fostering a culture of acceptance, respect, and equality where everyone can let their authentic selves shine. 🌈 During our June DEIB & Culture All Hands, we gathered to celebrate, learn, and connect on the true spirit of Pride. It was a time of sharing personal stories, discussing meaningful allyship, exploring ways to celebrate and get involved, and delving into the rich history of Pride that has shaped this vibrant community. In previous discussions, we’ve covered the history of queerness, the importance of education around marriage equality, gender-affirming care, queer history, and celebrated traditions. We also addressed the extensive challenges currently unfolding due to the impact of anti-LGBTQIA+ bills and the risks they pose to progress and everyday life. We also emphasized the importance of intersectionality in understanding and supporting the diverse experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed their personal stories and experiences helping us deepen our understanding of the importance of creating safe spaces for ourselves and our loved ones and continued support for LGBTQIA+ rights, history, allyship, and safety all year round. For the 2023 holiday season, we partnered with Mondelēz International to create the Season of Giving campaign - an omnichannel strategy to help the global snacking powerhouse break through the holiday noise. We collaborated with amazing influencers like Robert Lucas (aka @sweetimpact) to create thoughtful content and shoppable ads focused on charitable giving, holiday traditions, and recipe-sharing. 🎁🧑🏼🍳 We maximized the brand’s influencer investments through digital amplification across channels like CTV, reaching 875K+ consumers and driving a 99% video completion rate in the process. Today, as our offices are closed, we take a moment to reflect on the significance of Juneteenth for our Acorn community. On this Juneteenth, we honor the resilience and rich history of the Black community. This day is not only a powerful celebration of history and culture but also a crucial reminder of the injustices the Black community has faced and continues to face. At Acorn, we understand that meaningful progress requires ongoing education and action. Last week, during our company-wide all-hands meeting, we highlighted the history of Juneteenth, and encouraged employees to commemorate the day by seeking Juneteenth events and volunteer opportunities in our local and virtual communities.
