Director of Sales & Marketing | Passion for Creating and Executing Strategies that Grow Revenue & Market Share | Business Executive | Self-motivated achiever with 10+ years of experience in Operations Management
Continuation to Post I & II https://lnkd.in/gACYbjQT https://lnkd.in/grP6af86 So what does it require for an organization to implement cross-industry influence into their business model? First off another P word, Patience, but most importantly the organization needs Training and Development Culture. What are these? A strong training and development culture involves investing in the development of employees, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to new perspectives and ideas from other industries. Two of my favorite former employers, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. and Marriott International, are renowned for their exemplary training cultures. They are also known for hiring professionals with zero industry experience and investing heavily in their training. These companies understand that hiring individuals with fresh perspectives and diverse backgrounds can bring valuable insights and innovative ideas to their organizations. By investing in training, the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott ensure that their employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles, regardless of their prior industry experience. This training includes not only technical skills but also focuses on customer service, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership development. The investment in training culture typically leads to greater production and higher employee retention as well. Some these reasons are: Improved Skills: By providing comprehensive training, employees gain the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively. This leads to increased productivity and higher-quality output. Enhanced Engagement: Investing in training demonstrates a commitment to employee growth and development. This, in turn, fosters a sense of loyalty and engagement among employees, leading to higher levels of job satisfaction and retention. Adaptability: Cross-industry influences require employees to be adaptable and open to new ideas. The training culture prepares employees to embrace change and encourages them to think creatively. Career Progression: Through training and development, employees have opportunities for career progression within the organization. This motivates them to stay with the company, reducing turnover and ensuring continuity in operations. So what does this mean? Let us next delve into the concluding segment of this discourse. What encompasses my proficiency in leveraging external perspectives and their integration into a business model? Has it yielded favorable outcomes? What quantifiable results have been achieved? Feel free to share your thoughts and follow my next post. #opentowork #jobsearch #hireme #jobhunt #jobseeker #hiring #recruitment #jobsearching

Part of my sales strategy has always been executing the four P's of successful sales. People, Process, Performance, and Product. Each of these components plays a crucial role in achieving sales success. People: Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their needs is vital in sales. It's important to connect and communicate effectively with individuals, creating trust and delivering exceptional customer service. Process: Having a well-defined and efficient sales process is key. This includes steps such as prospecting, qualifying leads, presenting solutions, handling objections, and closing deals. Following a structured process helps ensure consistency and increases the chances of success. Performance: Setting clear goals and measuring performance is essential in sales. Regularly tracking key metrics, analyzing results, and identifying areas for improvement allows for continual growth and motivation. Product: Understanding the features, benefits, and unique selling points of the product or service being sold is fundamental. Being knowledgeable about what you're offering allows you to effectively communicate its value to potential customers. The four P's are interconnected and, when combined, can greatly contribute to achieving sales success. But what about the game-changing fifth P, Perspective, that visionary companies that I once worked for (Marriott Hotels The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. Bridgestone Americas ) place more emphasis on, almost making Product secondary, while executing their initiatives and delivering exceptional results. What is Perspective, or better yet outside Perspective, and how does it add to the success of an organization? Feel free to share your thoughts and follow my next post for my insights on the Fifth P. #opentowork #jobsearch #hireme #jobhunt #jobseeker #hiring #recruitment #jobsearching

First Sales Role Experience in a Respected Company Having decided to shift my career back to my initial plan of becoming a professional in the automotive industry, I applied for a Salesman role at ROLF, the largest car dealership in Russia. To begin, I was sincerely impressed by the selection process. It involved a series of meetings, including a group role-play task. Later, I learned that the purpose of the activity was not to assess the result but to observe candidates' problem-solving behaviors. I was flattered to be the only one selected from a group of about 15-20 people. The introductory period was smooth. I was assigned to a team leader who guided me towards working autonomously. However, I soon realized that some of my colleagues were determined to achieve sales at any cost, even resorting to aggressive behavior towards their team members. There were even physical fights. My passion for the industry, combined with the customer service skills I had developed during my years in the restaurant business, allowed me to quickly become a successful salesman. Fueled by my love for automobiles and a commitment to exceptional service, I not only met my sales targets but also gained a reputation as a caring salesman, leading to numerous referrals from satisfied customers. One of the most memorable moments was receiving feedback from a customer who said, "We bought a car from you not just because of the company or the brand, but because of your personality. We visited several dealerships and looked at different brands, but we chose to buy here because of your attitude towards us and your dedication to your job." Unfortunately, like many managers in sales, the head of our department and the dealership director were solely focused on meeting their sales goals. This eventually led me to reconsider my career development within the company and became the reason for my departure. What was your first experience in sales? #rolf #salesexperience #salessuccess #carsales #careercourney #careerdevelopment #workplaceculture #selectionproccess
