🌍🌱 Today is World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought! 🌱🌍 This year's theme, "United for the Earth: Our Heritage. Our Future," highlights the crucial role of healthy soils in climate protection, biodiversity, and water conservation. At ACO, we are proud to offer innovative products that mimic the natural water cycle. Our solutions help soils withstand extreme weather conditions and efficiently store water for reuse where needed. 👉https://lnkd.in/emKSeh3c #DroughtDay2024 #ACOWaterCycle #watercare #ACOSolutions

MANGROVES Mangroves are trees that grow in coastal areas where fresh water meets saltwater. They are incredibly important ecosystems that provide a variety of benefits, including: ● Coastal protection: Mangroves can help to protect coastlines from erosion and storm surges. ● Biodiversity: Mangroves are home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including fish, shellfish, and birds. ● Carbon storage: Mangroves are effective at storing carbon, which helps to mitigate climate change. ● Water quality: Mangroves help to filter pollutants from water, improving water quality. #mangroves #climatechange #sustainability #environment #biodiversity #trees #impact #sustainabledevelopmentgoals

The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment, is to get everybody involved-Richard Rogers 5th June is Celebrated as World Environment Day🌍 .World Environment Day is a chance to share your hopes and dreams for a healthier Earth.💫 This year's theme, "Restoring Our Land" .The theme focus on "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience." It's about bringing back healthy land, preventing deserts from growing, and dealing with water shortages. Trees, healthy soil, and clean water are vital for a healthy planet!🌳 We cannot turn back time, but we can grow forests, revive water sources, and bring back soils. We are the generation that can make peace with land.☘✨ Let us come together and pledge to protect our Environment.🌍✨🌳 #environment #savenature🌎 #saveearth🌍 #planttrees #iimkashipur #parivartancell #restoreland #goodvibes #greener #together #trees #cleanland #greenearth

Today marks World Wetlands Day, bringing attention to the 2,400 wetland sites across the globe. Despite occupying only 8% of the world's land, these wetlands are indispensable, supporting about 40% of all plant and animal species. They are critical for our health, livelihood, and maintaining the ecological balance in areas home to 1/8 of the human population, offering vital services like flood control and water purification. Yet, they face threats from global warming, urbanization, and pollution, underscoring the urgent need for conservation efforts to protect these vital ecosystems and their biodiversity. Protect our wetlands: advocate, raise awareness, and act. Your involvement is key to preserving these vital ecosystems for the future. Let's make a difference together! #worldwetlandsday #sustainability #biodiversity #directpack #recycling

Today, on #WorldWetlandsDay, let's celebrate and appreciate the invaluable #ecosystems that #wetlands provide to our planet. Wetlands play a crucial role in maintaining #biodiversity, filtering water, and mitigating the impacts of #climatechange. Home to diverse #flora and #fauna, wetlands are essential for numerous species. They act as nurseries for fish, offering a breeding ground for #aquaticlife. Additionally, wetlands serve as natural buffers, reducing the severity of #floods and protecting coastal areas. Despite their importance, wetlands face various #threats, including #pollution, #urbanization, and climate change. As stewards of the #Earth, it's our responsibility to raise #awareness and actively participate in the #conservation and #restoration of these vital ecosystems. Let's use this World Wetlands Day to educate ourselves and others about the significance of wetlands, and commit to preserving these remarkable areas for the well-being of our planet and future generations. #WorkingForABetterTomorrow! 🇳🇱 🇧🇪 🇩🇪 .. T(h)ree facts about our local tree planting initiatives. 🎄 Fact 1: Most of our local projects focus on reforestation, where we help damaged forests recover. By planting new trees and nurturing the land, we aim to heal and revive these forests. 🎄 Fact 2: We team up with private landowners who want to restore their forests but need financial help and know-how. Together, we support them in transforming their land into a resilient, healthy forest again. 🎄 Fact 3: Climate change doesn't just affect faraway tropical forests; it impacts our local forests too. We're witnessing changes due to shifting climates, and our efforts in tree planting and conservation aim to protect our environment from these effects too. 📹 In this video we talk to the landowner of a reforestation project in Markelo. 🙏 Thank you for sharing your insights and passion with us, Carl. #Reforestation #Approach #LocalTreePlanting

Today, 14 October, is #WorldMigratoryBirdDay Every year, the #WorldMigratoryBirdDay is celebrated on two peak days (2nd Saturday in May and October). #WMBD is a day to appreciate migratory birds and the vital role their flight plays in our ecosystems, and most importantly, call to attention some of the threats that these migratory birds face. #WMBD2023 highlights the impact of the growing water crisis 💦 on migratory birds 🦩 Water is fundamental to life on our planet and the vast majority of migratory birds rely on aquatic ecosystems during their life cycles; from feeding, and drinking, to nesting, and also as places to rest and refuel during their long journeys. Unfortunately, aquatic ecosystems are becoming increasingly threatened around the world, and so are the migratory birds that depend on them. The increasing human demand for water, as well as pollution and climate change, are having a direct impact on the availability of clean water and the conservation status of many migratory birds. It’s time for action to protect our aquatic ecosystems so we can conserve these amazing species.
