I will be speaking on the subject 'Women Crafting a Pathway to Entrepreneurial Success: Breaking Gender Barriers in Business, Overcoming Limitations' on the 23rd of March at the #Audacious #Women's #Business and #Life #Accelerator Day as we kick-start the year-long entrepreneurial leadership program for women at Audacious I have talked to women who are exasperated by their lack of confidence to make bold decisions concerning their businesses and just don't know what to do. They will walk into a room full of business people and the attendant opportunities and they will stay in a corner clutching at their notebooks (read handbags) while the men work the room, make important connections, and close the really big business. Petrified by the very thought, most women business owners can't find the wherewithal to walk into a bank manager's office and ask for that credit because they are either afraid to do it or they just don't know where to start. So their little businesses stall. Women are socialized to not do those things lest they are labeled 'too much'. The trend is perpetuated because that is just the way we are raised, and we need to be nice girls.
