Now this, is super interesting. I'm always blabbering that logos are super important as a first impression. After first impression, they become symbols that trigger the lasting impression. Now, I haven't read the article yet. I'm not sure how you can survey people on objective first impressions of political logos without them injecting a ton of bias based on their experiences of the politician. I'm hoping it's explained and legit. But still, a really REALLY good reminder about how logos can influence first impressions.
Yes, campaign logos do matter. Our latest study from the Center for Campaign Innovation looked at how a campaign's brand shapes voters' opinions of the candidate. In our survey we found that a logo can swing a candidate's favorability by almost 10%. Voters also associated positive and negative attributes with a candidate based on their logo.
