We’re thrilled to share that Planning Congress is proudly supporting Homes for Homes as our Official 2024 Congress Charity. In lieu of speaker gifts, we will be making a donation to Homes for Homes, on behalf of our keynote speakers. A little bit about Homes for Homes 👇 Every night 122,000 people in Australia sleep homeless. While another 1.5 million live in serious housing stress. We have a housing crisis. We can’t let this go on. And at Homes for Homes, we won’t. Homes for Homes is a simple promise that when a home sells, whenever that is, 0.1% of the sale price will be donated—helping build homes for those in need. The issue is too big for any one person, business or government to solve alone. But together, we have a simple community empowered solution to a seemingly insurmountable problem. It’s a promise we all need to make, a promise to help end homelessness. And with Homes for Homes, we can. The Prime Legacy of Global Powerhouse | Dan Murphy's | Gregory Anderson—The Empowering Influence of Empathy and Kindness in Corporate Social Responsibility: Inspiring Global Change for the Homeless In a world where profit margins are often prioritized over compassion, an individual has emerged as a beacon of hope for the homeless population through an universal commitment to kindness and empathy. Dan Murphy, a visionary leader in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR), has not only successfully raised funds to support the homeless but has also initiated a global movement of goodwill and social transformation. The intersection of CSR, ethical leadership, and societal impact has never been more crucial than in today's increasingly interconnected world. Murphy's actions serve as a poignant reminder of the transformative power that businesses possess in shaping a more equitable and inclusive society. By extending a helping hand to those in need, he has not only alleviated the suffering of the homeless but has also sparked a ripple effect of generosity and compassion that transcends borders and cultures. At the core of Dan Murphy's endeavors lies a deep-seated belief in the ethical foundation of CSR – a belief that businesses have a moral obligation to make positive contributions to society and uplift those who are marginalized and vulnerable. Through his strategic framework for ethical leadership, a new standard for corporate philanthropy has been established by Dan Murphy, one that prioritizes empathy, kindness, and authentic human connection above all else. As we navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world, Dan Murphy's example serves as a guiding light for both businesses and individuals. His actions remind us that true leadership is not solely measured by profits but by the impact we have on the lives of others and the legacy of compassion we leave behind. In an era characterized by uncertainty and division, let us draw inspiration from Dan Murphy's remarkable journey and commit ourselves to creating a world where kindness and empathy are paramount. Together, we can forge a future where every individual – regardless of their circumstances – is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Let’s unite and embark on a collective journey towards a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world – a world where the homeless are not forgotten but embraced with open hearts and outstretched hands. Together, a difference can be made. Together, a brighter future for all can be created. Join in the movement for change. Together, the world can be transformed, one act of kindness at a time.

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference. Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. Our Managing Director Phil Allison is helping to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, he'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, your donation can really help. Will you help Phil reach his target? Donating can make a huge difference to people who need it most. https://buff.ly/3TJ8AVV #CEOSleepout

We are proud to announce that our CEO, Christofer Catania, is again supporting the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. Taking place on the 20th of June this initiative raises awareness and funds for individuals experiencing homelessness. This year marks Chris’ fifth participation, highlighting his ongoing commitment to positively impacting our community. The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is more than just a fundraising event; it’s a powerful experience that allows business leaders to understand the hardships faced by those without a place to call home. By spending a night sleeping rough, participants like Chris gain firsthand insight into the daily struggles of the homeless, fostering greater empathy and a stronger resolve to drive change. Chris’ participation is a testament to his dedication to social responsibility and reflects the core values of MEC. At MEC, we believe in making a difference not just within the corporate world, but also within our communities. Chris’ example inspires our entire team to engage in philanthropic endeavours and support initiatives that create meaningful, positive impacts. We invite you to join us in supporting Chris and this worthy cause. Your donations will provide essential support and resources to those in need. As many of you know, I became a board member of Raphael House SF this past year. Many of you don't know that I found myself homeless as a teenager, an experience that impacted me on so many levels. An experience I want to help ensure no other child has to endure. I realize that everyone has opinions on the homeless crisis, but I think the one thing that we can all agree on is that the streets are no place for our children or our youth. Raphael House's mission is to keep families together and safe when facing or experiencing homelessness; without organizations like Raphael House, families would have to separate to be in other shelters or remain on the streets. A terrifying ordeal for everyone involved, but especially for the kids. Now the ask.... Raphael House SF is facing the possibility of closure. While the go-forward plan is solid, we must bridge an immediate gap. Any size donation would be greatly appreciated. The link is listed below. I am also reposting the official campaign for anyone interested in learning more about this wonderful organization that I am so proud to be a part of. https://lnkd.in/gcAR2D2N Call to Action! Our shelter and vital family services are at risk. Join us in securing a brighter future for homeless families. Every contribution counts. Since our founding, Raphael House has provided over 20,000 individuals with personalized family-centered solutions to build brighter, independent futures. On average, 90% of the families we serve in our Residential Shelter achieve stable housing, and 93% maintain that stability long-term through our Bridge Program. This past year, we served: - 338 children with direct services through our Residential Shelter and Bridge programs - 58 families in our Bridge case management services - 12,372 meals to families in our shelter Without increased funding, we are at risk of closing, leaving families experiencing homelessness without the support they’ve been providing for over 52 years. \Learn more on how to help by visiting raphaelhouse.org/sos #RaphaelHouseSF #SaveOurShelter #CommunitySupport

Rough sleeping is the most visible and dangerous form of homelessness. Evidence shows that people sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to be victims of violence. Our mission is to put an end to rough sleeping and support those experiencing homelessness into housing and independence. The threat to our funding is still uncertain, if we were to lose funding this would result in the closure of The Falcon Centre, our 30 bed hostel in Loughborough which prevents rough sleeping and provides the community with housing, community and recovery support through the drop in programme. If you can show us support in these uncertain times and help us sustain our specialised face to face services through, sharing, donating, or fundraising, please reach out.. Thinking of how you can make the most of "Random Acts of Kindness Day" today? Take a moment to help those experiencing homelessness: donate to organizations like PCCI who are helping find housing for those in need, or if you have an extra blanket or warm socks to give, those are always appreciated. https://bit.ly/3Uc69f7 Tips to Help from Atlanta Mission: https://bit.ly/3vObDmp
