- Do people describe you as patient or harmonious? Do you like predictable outcomes at a slow and steady pace? This personality type is referred to in the DISC model as submission or stable. Someone who exhibits this behavior is identified as a high S. A few months ago, a large international apparel company hired me to train their team on improving communication in the workplace. The company is known for its innovation and ability to forge ahead at a furious pace. Their industry is constantly changing. The deadlines loom from day to day. The employees were struggling to keep up with this pace in this highly stressful environment. The only thing consistent was change. One of the components of the training was for the team to take the DISC personality assessment. That way we could see how each of the team members preferred to communicate.
