- Instagram do their absolute best to create personalized experiences. So when you log onto your Instagram account, what you see is going to be different to what your friends or your family members see. Instagram tries to serve content to you that they believe you are most likely to interact with. Now, interaction signals include things such as the amount of time you spend consuming a piece of content. So if you spend a few seconds actually looking or watching a piece of content on Instagram then that sends a signal out that that content was valuable to you. And Instagram will do their best to try and serve you more content like that. So they'll try to serve you more content from that particular creator who posted that content, and also other accounts that are similar.
