- Quality content seems to be somewhat of a buzzword on social media. But what do the algorithms on social media class as quality content? Well, the algorithm is focused on how much time someone spends consuming a piece of content, and also what they do as a direct result after they consume that piece of content. For example, you might tweet something out on Twitter and that tweet gets a lot of comments for some reason. If someone stumbles across that tweet and then spends a large amount of time consuming all of the comments, then that is an indicator to Twitter that that particular tweet is keeping people on the platform. As a result, Twitter is a lot more likely to suggest that tweet to more people, and that tweet is likely to get a lot more engagement and a lot more views.
