- Let's talk more about data science playbooks. Private equity firms are very skilled at implementing procurement playbooks. That is they have specific processes in place for assessing, prioritizing, and implementing opportunities to improve portfolio company procurement processes. Usually, these procurement playbooks are implemented right after acquisition and can show meaningful cost savings quickly. A playbook for data science is a similar idea that some private equity firms have developed.
