- [Instructor] For this movie, let's go ahead and learn about how SolidWorks links things together. Now, SolidWorks is a a hundred percent name based linked software. So what that means is you have something like an assembly right over here at the top level. And then below that is going to have individual parts. You can have multiple parts, there's many parts as you want. You can also have other sub assemblies that then have parts of their own right. And each one of these things can have its own drawing. So here's a drawing of that assembly and you can have a drawing of a part as well. Or of course you can have a drawing of a subassembly. So any of these things can have their own drawings. They all have their own properties and they all have their own names. Now, SolidWorks is very concerned about the name. So if you name this one part one, this one, part two, this one, part three, the assembly is going to be looking for those individual names, right? If you were to go and change the…
