- [Instructor] Let's talk about Weldments. Now, Weldments are a package that loads into SolidWorks that allows you to use structural members. Now, you might be asking, "What is a structural member?" Well, a structural member is basically any shape that's a standard shape or a custom shape, your choice, that you can bring in and define inside of SolidWorks. And SolidWorks does all the heavy lifting for you. So it'll miter the corners. It'll butt them together. It'll weld them together. So it's mostly designed for something like structural steel, right, so if you have, like, structural steel tubing or I-beams or pipe or something like that, it's going to do all that work of, like, coping the ends, mitering the ends, and doing all that stuff.
