- [Instructor] Navisworks will open any file type. Well, not really, although it looks like you can say open a Revit model directly. Essentially, what Revit does, is it exports that model for you as it's opening it behind the scenes. This makes what's called the Navisworks cache file. So in Navisworks, if I just click the blue dropdown, go to open and then open again for files of type, I'm going to hit my flyout here and man, Navisworks can open a lot of different files, more than most programs I've seen. But what I want to do is I want to jump into Revit. Now I just want to create something quick. On the architecture tab, click the wall button. I want to make sure that I'm in Floor Plan Level 1. For the height, we'll just go to Level 2. On the draw panel, I'm going to click the rectangle button. I really don't care how big it is. Hit escape a couple times, go to door.
