- [Instructor] I call it CAD shrapnel, those errant lines, arc circles, and unwanted texts that we inadvertently bring into our Navisworks scene. A lot of it comes from AutoCAD. Well, at least Navisworks is smart enough to turn that stuff off if you really don't need it, or if it's screwing your view up. The focus of this exercise is to actually pretty things up as it pertains to lines and basic garbage that gets dragged into our models. So, to get started, we're going to open up another model. Notice I have a model open, and this is a good point. We can only have one model open in Navisworks. So if we go to Open here, I'm going to browse to where I'm keeping my exercise files. You're going to go to AutoCAD. Let's make sure our files of type is set for Autodesk: DWG/DXF, and here's Communications System.dwg. Let's open that.
