Connect the parts in the schematic - OrCAD Tutorial
From the course: Learning PCB Design with OrCAD
Connect the parts in the schematic
- [Instructor] Every circuit needs wires and connectors to pass current through it, to make it work. You will learn how to wire up a circuit schematic to make it functional. In OrCAD Capture go to the menu, choose Place, and select Wire or hit W on your keyboard. You'll see the icon for Place wire is on the right toolbar as well. So, open up your referenced schematic that has all the wires connected, and I'm going to follow the connections in the schematic. So, let's zoom in with I and wire the circuit. Okay, when you're wiring the circuit just use normal left clicks. Sometimes people drag the mouse button or they hold it down, and drag it when making the connections, and you don't want to do that. Also be careful to not cross any pins when you're making your connections. Pins that you're not supposed to connect to. Hit Escape on the keyboard to get out of wiring mode, and you can hit W to get back into wiring mode. So I'll move these parts out of the way. Okay. Alright. Alright, so…
