Typefaces and your resume
(upbeat music) - You may have a great LinkedIn profile, but at some point, you probably will need to send a resume to someone, whether it's paper or PDF. Now, over the years, I've seen many resumes, and the ones I like best are the ones that are the simplest, the clearest, and the easiest to read. Just because there are lots of typeface choices at the top of the bar and lots of weights doesn't mean to use them all. Stay simple. Now, there are several ways to make something important. You can change the size. You can make it a color. You can make it bold. I find it best to do just one of those things. Same typeface, same weight, just change the color. Always one thing at a time. It's those clean, simple, elegant resumes that get my attention, and those are the people I'm going to call and say, come on in, I want to meet you.
