(upbeat music) - Good design and communication are important to every business. And equally important is knowing how to work with designers to achieve your goals. One important step in doing that is to create a brief. A brief brief. A brief is essentially a summary of a project's purpose. It will serve as the constitution for the project. It's a document everyone can check again and again to make sure they haven't gotten off track. It also ensures everyone is on the same page with what the goals are. A brief can take many forms. It can be an essay or bullet points, or just a document with a bunch of thoughts. Just explain the necessary information as briefly and clearly as you can. To help guide you here are some of the questions your brief should answer. First of course, what is the challenge? Why now? In other words, was there a precipitatory event that brought this on?
