Use the TAKE, DROP, FILTER and SORTBY functions to build dependent lists

- [Instructor] Excel has two new functions, take and drop. 2 They're pretty much the opposite of each other 3 and we can use them in combination with other functions 4 or simply to pull information from lists. 5 Think of the word copy as we use these two functions. 6 On this worksheet, there's a table over 7 in columns A through J. 8 Think of that as a master list. 9 What we'd like to have set up is other lists 10 that are dependent upon that 11 and possibly we'll put these on the same worksheet as 12 that master list or possibly in other worksheets. 13 And we can do that pretty quickly and easily 14 and always have these lists be in sync. 15 In other words, to be up to date 16 to contain the appropriate information as that master list. 17 As I scroll to the right here, notice that the three sets 18 of data that we have 19 with different color backgrounds 20 in the appropriate color boxes 21 explain what we're doing…
