- [Instructor] Among the many new Excel functions 2 introduced by Microsoft in recent years 3 are these three functions we're seeing on the screen 4 in the green panel: filter, sort, and choosecols, 5 short for choose columns. 6 By showing them together, I'm not necessarily suggesting 7 you'd be using them together, but you certainly can 8 and in a variety of ways. 9 Sometimes we use them just one by one 10 or sometimes we use two of them together. 11 On this worksheet, we've got a master list 12 over in columns A through G. 13 We need to have that. 14 We sort it at different times, we rearrange it, 15 but we don't take any data out of it. 16 But at different times, we do need other lists, 17 either organized differently by way of sorting 18 or maybe a shorter list by way of filter 19 or a shorter list by way of choosecols, 20 where we only see certain columns. 21 At the moment, we've got a list to the right here. 22…
