Locate formula precedents via keystroke shortcuts and the Trace Precedents command

- [Instructor] On the screen here, 2 we're seeing an image of a worksheet. 3 It's got tons of blue lines on it. 4 You might be familiar with the feature in Excel 5 referred to as Trace Dependents, 6 and in that kind of a scenario, 7 what you're trying to do 8 is to figure out which cells will change 9 if you change one cell. 10 In a sense, what we're trying to do here 11 and what we're seeing on the screen 12 is moving in the opposite direction. 13 And what we'd like to be able to do here is to say, 14 I've got a total, I want to find out all the cells, 15 which if altered, could affect that total. 16 And the visual way of doing this 17 is by way of a feature called Trace Precedents, 18 the opposite of Trace Dependents. 19 On the next worksheet to the right is that actual data. 20 And so we've got a formula in cell K29, 21 I'll double-click on it. 22 You can see that it's actually getting data 23 from one of two…
