- [Instructor] On this worksheet, 2 we're seeing a chart in the middle. 3 We've got a list off to the right of all the states, 4 how many houses were sold, how many cars were sold, 5 and over in columns A, B, and C, we're setting up a list 6 that's the source for the chart, 7 but what we'd like to be able to do, 8 instead of typing in the state name, 9 use a drop arrow by way of data validation. 10 We might want to show two or three states at a time 11 and have the chart react to that. 12 And so we actually need to use a combination of features. 13 We'll be using the XLOOKUP function, 14 we'll be converting this list into a table, 15 which has a decided advantage, 16 particularly when we create a chart. 17 We'll also be using data validation 18 to set up a pick list here as well. 19 So no entries will need to be typed. 20 As of now, these numbers were either typed or pasted in 21 and they are reflected in the chart…
