- [Instructor] One of Excel's best presentation tools is a slicer, and on this very busy worksheet called Pivot Table, we've got five slicers off to the right. On the left side of the screen, we're seeing a pivot table, and below that, a pivot chart. So it's a pretty busy screen. One of the best aspects of slicer is that it makes filtering more obvious. There are filter arrows here in this pivot table. I could click the arrow that we see in cell A2, and let's say that for the moment here, I don't want to see the Shoes entry. I'll uncheck that box, click OK. And we don't see that in the list. It's not represented in the chart anymore. And also the slicer has reacted. But suppose we approach this by simply using the slicer. Already as you look at the slicer, you can tell which clothing type is not being shown in the pivot table, as we say, grayed out.
