RC high pass filter

- A high-pass filter is a circuit that attenuates or reduces any low-frequency components of a signal, while allowing the high-frequency components of that signal to pass through. A high-pass RC filter can be built using the same components as a low-pass RC filter. The difference between the two types of filters is that the locations of the resistor and capacitor are swapped. In a high-pass RC filter, the capacitor is in series with the output, and the resistor is in parallel with the output. In this configuration, I like to think of the output node as an exclusive dance club. And the capacitor is a bouncer that decides which frequencies get to come into the club. So when high-frequency signals come up to the bouncer, he lowers his impedance, and he lets them right on in.
