From the course: Bluebeam Revu 21 Essential Training

What you should know

- If you've used a previous version of Bluebeam Revu whether it's an older version with that original user interface or a newer version like Bluebeam 20 you should know right off the bat that things have changed. The user interface and main feature sets remain essentially the same as previous versions, but the software has switched to a subscription-based model with three subscription tiers and the feature sets included in each tier don't necessarily align with the previous three versions that were available for purchase. So if you've used an older version and you're upgrading or considering an upgrade, be sure to check Bluebeam's website for a comprehensive list of which features are available in each of the subscription tiers. For this course I'll be demonstrating everything using the Complete tier of Bluebeam Revu 21, but many of the features I'll show you are available in the Basics tier. In the next video, we'll take a look at which features are available in which tier. I'll be using several different sets of construction drawings and documents to demonstrate the features throughout this course. One file is available in the Help menu of Bluebeam Revu and I'll show you how to find it as we get to that point in the course. The other files are available to download on the LinkedIn Learning course page under the Exercise files tab. Keep in mind that even though I'm demonstrating this software for use in an AEC environment it's equally functional in other industries such as oil and gas and facilities management. Finally, note that Bluebeam Revu 21 is only available on the Windows operating system. So this is a Bluebeam for Windows course. There are some mobile applications available for iOS and Android, but these all have different uses and feature sets that are covered separately. With all that in mind, let's get started with Bluebeam Revu 21.
