- [Instructor] Financial technology, more commonly called FinTech, is one of the hottest areas in the finance and technology space right now. Now, the term FinTech doesn't have a precise definition, but in general, it refers to a variety of areas that are emerging and growing very rapidly. These include things like blockchain, automated investment advisory services, more commonly called robo-advising, online lending, AI, crowdfunding, and a number of other areas. All of these areas have the potential to disrupt traditional finance, and for that reason, there's a lot of focus and a lot of interest in this space.
