- [Narrator 1] Just as with printing on paper, 3D printing in full color requires precise mixing of multiple colors. Inkjet technology is one of the best ways to do this, which makes it a good fit for full color 3D printing technologies. In this movie, we'll take you through the most common options for full color 3D printing. Three pigment colors need to be mixed to create the full spectrum of color hues: cyan, magenta, and yellow. These are the complimentary colors that are red, green, and blue colors of light that the human eye can detect. When printing on white paper, various ratios of these three colors of ink, along with black, can produce any color. These colors can be printed along with the binder onto white gypsum powder to create full color prints in a plaster-like material, this is the most common form of full color 3D printing.
