Windows Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Windows Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Windows Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our Windows systems. You will collaborate closely with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain secure Windows environments, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fix vulnerabilities on Windows desktop and server systems to maintain security and stability.
• Utilize desktop management and security tools such as Antivirus, SIEM, Qualys, WSUS, Nessus, etc., to safeguard our systems and data.
• Manage and optimize Windows Active Directory, leveraging Group Policy Objects (GPO) for automation and policy enforcement.
• Implement Windows configuration, patching, and adhere to CIS hardening standards for both desktops and servers.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in fixing vulnerabilities on Windows desktops and servers.
• Hands-on experience with desktop management and security tools (e.g., Antivirus, SIEM, Qualys, WSUS, Nessus).
• Deep understanding of Windows Active Directory and proficiency in using Group Policy Objects (GPO) for automation and policy enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of Windows configuration, patching, and adherence to CIS hardening standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or equivalent.
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
