Wind Farm Project Engineer

1-2+ Year contract

Remote for 1 Year and then 20-50% travel (to site

• Advanced stage 80 MW greenfield wind project under development in California
• Key permits in hand. Interconnection agreement signed. Turbine selection and 60% design complete
• Target start of construction Q2 2025. Target COD Q2, 2026
• Looking for electrical engineering support during pre-construction and construction:
• Review / critique and provide subject-matter-expertise for 230 kV substation, 34.5 kV collector and other electrical design and related engineering studies (detailed design and modeling / study responsibility by others)
• Technical support in interactions with EPC’s, turbine supplier, CAISO, County (for building permit applications), telecom providers, Owner’s internal Operations and SCADA teams
• Technical support to Owner’s construction manager during construction and commissioning
• Required experience:
• Hands-on wind project development & construction, preferably in California
• Owner, EPC (preferred) or technical consultancy background
• Up to 50% travel
• Hands-on experience in design, construction and commissioning of solar and battery projects a plus (but does not substitute for wind experience)
