VP Operations - Transmission & Substation Construction - Florida
The Operations Vice President will manage a team of Managers and Supervisors across FL and GA. This role will be responsable for directing the work and provide guidance and assistance to their respective teams assigned to assist him/her on lump sum, unit price, and hourly price contracts. This qualified individual will possess the skills to schedule and oversee various work groups and should possess the drive and ambition to grow this division and maintain/expand profitability. The role has huge growth potentials with the group receiving investment to grow to double its current size.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum 15 years’ experience in construction/project management – specifically related to transmission and substation work
Willing to work over-time or long hours during emergency conditions and/or when requested. Schedules can change frequently and with short notice.
Must follow Company safety rules and policies.
Must have knowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality
requirements, applicable codes and standards.
Ability to administer coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Ability to develop and interpret a material list, bid packages, scope
documents, schedules, and budgets required in work performance.
Proficient knowledge in all aspects of electrical distribution and transmission
systems.
Knowledge of various types of construction contracts.
Ability to perform employee evaluations.
Must Interview, hire, and terminate employees
Ability to interface with contractors, designers, vendors, and other parties
