Job Type: Full time Exempt Salary: $140,000-$150,000/yr

Position Purpose:

This role focuses on servicing some of the largest agency members by providing thought leadership, guidance and direct engagement opportunities between 4A’s and Holding Company members. In this position, you will act as a primary contact across all our HoldCo members — helping to increase engagement, participation and awareness of 4A’s programs. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who is client service driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Position Responsibilities:

Member Engagement:

  • Consult with member agencies providing guidance on business issues.
  • Maximize awareness and utilization of 4A’s resources, especially as it pertains to agency operations, talent development, new business, strategic insight and industry trends.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with agency principals and other key staff to ensure relevance and impact.
  • Meet in-person with members’ executive team to consult on business challenges and needs and review engagement and membership ROI annually, with quarterly check-ins.
  • Provide annual service reviews and workshops for agency staff as well as relevant materials to promote 4A’s membership.
  • Monitor satisfaction with the 4A’s and ensure that research, surveys, committee participation, and other relevant member assets are consistently shared.
  • Proactively advocate, respond, and address member needs.

Member Community Leadership:

  • Work with 4A’s practice areas to develop programs that address key needs of HoldCo member agencies (committees, training, webinars, industry research, surveys, etc.).
  • Work closely with the MarComms and MED teams to support 4A’s events and promote them to HoldCo members and drive attendance and participation (e.g., speaking opportunities; awards submissions).
  • Take on a committee leadership role for one of our national committees – proactively recruiting members, moderating discussion groups and coordinating meeting agendas and ensure maximum participation.

Member Retention & Renewals:

  • Responsible for securing membership renewals every year and managing the communication and negotiation process with HoldCos in partnership with the Finance team.
  • Focus on growing membership of HoldCo agencies who are not currently 4A’s members.
  • Expand participation from HoldCos on revenue generating programs outside of membership (i.e., Learning Institute, events, JCAs, etc.).

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of advertising and marketing industry experience, preferably with relevant experience at an advertising or media agency.
  • Strong communication skills – comfortable engaging with all levels of personnel in member agencies and at the 4A’s.
  • Proven network of HoldCo agency contacts with the ability to engage C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), data analysis, and sales operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the advertising and marketing communications industry and on-going student of new developments impacting it.
  • Highly organized; able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
