VP of Finance, Corporate Controller

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under GAAP.
• Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures, and controls, including SOX compliance.
• Lead financial operations, overseeing monthly and quarterly general ledger close, accounts payable, payroll, and equity administration.
• Stay informed about key technical accounting pronouncements.
• Manage external reporting, including SEC filings.
• Analyze monthly trends, budget vs. actual variance, and contract complexities.
• Prepare materials for Board of Directors and Audit Committee meetings.
• Monitor tax reporting requirements.
• Mentor and grow a dedicated finance team.
  

Requirements:

1. CPA and Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
2. 15+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in a public biotech company.
3. Big 4 audit experience (preferred).
4. Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles.

Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $300K - $340K + bonus.
