Our client, a pioneering eMobility company, offers a groundbreaking EV-charging solution that enables wireless charging for electric vehicles while they are in motion. Their system combines mechanics, software, electronics, and high-voltage electricity. They are looking for an experienced business development professional to join their California office.
The business development team is tasked with driving business growth by forming strategic partnerships, exploring new market verticals, defining innovative use cases, and targeting key customers in specific segments. In this role, you will manage these initiatives from start to finish and collaborate closely with the product and sales teams.
Understand the solution and relevant markets thoroughly to identify potential growth areas.
Propose and implement sales and delivery strategies that support the company’s go-to-market strategies and business objectives.
Leverage a deep understanding of California and federal EV mandates and incentive programs to advance commercial opportunities.
Pursue strategic business opportunities and close deals.
Open new verticals, generate new use cases and offerings to drive business and sales growth. Drive the scaling and sales replication of new use cases and offerings.
Build, manage, and own business partnerships and strategic consultant relationships.
Analyze market feedback to support strategic product decisions.
Manage complex business engagements from initiation to closing.
Seek out and support responses to RFI, RFQ, and RFP opportunities.
Act as a trusted advisor for partners globally on both business and technological matters.
Work closely with Presales and Professional Services teams to ensure successful onboarding completion.
Build and maintain effective and constructive relationships with all stakeholders, including customers and other strategic partners, to understand their needs and proactively engage to provide guidance and support.
Collaborate with existing and new customers to scale commercial opportunities.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in B2G or B2B sales or business development.
Proven track record of closing business deals.
Experience in managing, nurturing, and growing partner ecosystems.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with mobility issues related to EVs, ports, airports, and/or transit.
