Job Description
Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy and Communications, the Philanthropy and Communications Specialist supports internal and external marketing efforts. They will also create and manage corporate volunteer projects. This position is non-exempt as determined by the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Pathway Homes, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization has provided non-time-limited housing and supportive services to 1,553 adults with serious mental illness and other co-occurring disabilities in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Pathway Homes was founded in 1980 by a coalition of family members seeking better support for their loved ones with mental illness and mental health professionals who believed safe and decent housing plus tailored support were powerful tools for recovery.

Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy and Communications, the Philanthropy and Communications Specialist supports internal and external marketing efforts. They will also create and manage corporate volunteer projects. This position is non-exempt as determined by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Pathway Homes Hunger Buster Program. Supervise volunteers to create initial food baskets for 15 residents every 6 months. Ensure the volunteer orders monthly, files receipt and keeps track of the 15 residents for a 6-month period of time on a rolling basis.
- Lead and coordinate group volunteer projects for Corporate Partners and other group supporters.
- Plan and execute the Annual Summer of the Arts event with volunteers and consultants.
- Design and produce marketing materials ensuring a consistent brand for all print and online communication vehicles including, but not limited to quarterly newsletter, annual reports, direct mail solicitations, sponsor packets, brochures, event invitations, event programs, employee and resident communications.
- Maintain and monitor social media platforms including Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Monitor and respond to Google reviews on a timely basis
- Collaboratively update the Pathway Homes website content utilizing established agency media protocols.
- Design and distribute communications for donors, volunteers and the general public using Constant Contact.
- Responsible for monitoring and remaining current with all required trainings and certifications.
- Responsible for maintaining individual eligibility to operate a vehicle for work-related functions and duties.
- Responsible for performing all duties consistent with the agency’s identified core competencies.
- Other duties and responsibilities as maybe assigned or required.
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design or a related field
- Minimum of two years’ experience of demonstrated success in marketing and/or media.
- Customer service experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Publisher, and Adobe Suites.
