VoIP/Telephony Engineer
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force , Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Job Summary - Essential Functions/Duties
The VoIP / Telephony Engineer is responsible for the following functions and duties:
An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 12 years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field are required for this position.
In addition, a VoIP / Telephony Engineer must possess the following qualifications:
The expected salary range for this position $83,200 to $131,040 annually.
Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are required.
Routine travel to remote company work locations and work in field environment with occasional overnight assignment may be required.

Job Summary - Essential Functions/Duties
The VoIP / Telephony Engineer is responsible for the following functions and duties:
- Implementing, planning, and coordinating IP and traditional voice components
- Providing technical expertise on a wide range and variety of complex network issues
- Conducting analysis and recommending resolution of complex network issues impacting customer
- Evaluating and recommending adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering voice and data products
- Testing and optimizing the functionality of systems, networks and data
- Identifying and defining business or technical requirements applied to the design, development, implementation, management and support of customer resources
- Troubleshooting complex issues and conucting various research and analysis regarding new technology, network traffic, potential security risk, etc.
- Analyzing existing VoIP networks and computer systems.
- Developing architecture plans for voice and data services.
- Installing network hardware modules including IP and PBX communication servers.
- Designing and implementing Cisco and Avaya systems
- Troubleshooting VoIP network issues.
- Analyzing and upgrading network security systems and protocols.
- Adding system users and managing permissions.
- Optimizing network installations for future expansion.
- Training team members on network and system protocols.

- Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
- Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
- Excellent communication and anlytical skillys
- Planning / organizational skills
