THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Vice President, Premium & Hospitality Sales to join our team.

This department head position, will own all aspects of Premium & Hospitality strategy, leadership, and results. This opportunity requires someone who has a proven track record of success leading a Premium & Hospitality team for a major college or professional sports franchise.

This executive will design, execute, and monitor all elements of Playfly Aspire’s Premium & Hospitality activities. This includes but is not limited to: client relationship ownership, recruiting/hiring/retaining of on-site teams, and supporting the organization’s Premium & Hospitality business development efforts.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Oversee high-end contracted premium partnerships between Playfly and professional sports franchise/major Division l college athletic departments nationally
  • Develop department business plan, training manuals, new business development strategies, policies, and procedures for live projects
  • Create and manage Premium & Hospitality Sales, Service, and Operational vision and strategy for existing and incoming professional, special event, and college sports partners
  • Oversee the development, administration and execution of all new sales, collateral, sales tracking/reporting and post-sale communications
  • Serves as the liaison between Playfly Sports and all Premium & Hospitality partner’s administration and management through weekly interaction and site visits
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner leadership and administrators
  • Work with executive and corporate leadership teams to forecast expense and revenue projections while exceeding revenue targets
  • Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, and output
  • Partner with revenue leadership teams (internally and externally) in the development of pricing and packaging strategies for premium products to maximize revenue across all properties
  • Lead Premium Sales & Hospitality partnership teams to ensure that they meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, customer and partner satisfaction, and goal accomplishment
  • Communicate well across many areas of the company including legal, finance, ticketing, multi-media rights/partnerships, tech, and marketing
  • Create and manage department budget, adhering to financial guidelines and achieving all budgetary goals
  • Work with stadium concessionaires to ensure high levels of service and quality with the Premium & Hospitality food service programs
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of all aspects of each client and log this information in CRM for further enhancement of client relationship
  • Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards, etc.
  • Lead, motivate, develop, grow, and retain Premium & Hospitality leadership teammates
  • Other job-related duties as assigned


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of sports sales experience reqired
  • 4+ years in Premium & Hospitality Sales required
  • 2+ years as a department leader required
  • Experience in budgeting, as well as forecasting revenues and expenses
  • Ability to demonstrate forward-thinking analytical skills to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue generation and program/campaign development
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate premium sales and service executives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and listening skills
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management abilities
  • Enthusiastic, teacher, motivator, and sales professional
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail-oriented


Travel, Lifting, Physical Requirements

  • Some travel may be required
  • This is a sedentary role which primarily takes place in an office environment
