What You’ll Do
MGT’s Equity team partners with our public sector clients to address critical supplier disparity and diversity issues. Our services include examining organizational systems with an equity lens; identifying policies and structures that create procurement and vendor disparities impacting underrepresented populations; producing accurate, valid, and legally defensible disparity and diversity studies that engage the community and stakeholders; and developing tailored programs and policies that lead to authentic, meaningful, and sustained change. MGT is seeking a Vice President to join our growing, nationally recognized Equity practice area within our Social Impact Solutions portfolio.
The Vice President Will
Lead team of Equity experts dedicated, above all, to the mission of serving communities.
Manage business performance including revenue and EBITDA targets.
Directly contribute to business development through proposal writing, oral interview preparation and presentation, working with sales and marketing teams to identify and respond to opportunities.
Ensure client delight through project delivery and management.
Spearhead the development of innovative equity solutions and service offerings.
Lead business strategy development to continuously expand and improve access to the mission.
Engage in strategic sales to secure targeted opportunities leading to maximum impact.
By applying deep subject matter expertise, market knowledge, and strategy, the VP will be a catalyst for scaling social impact and competitive success in the disparity and diversity y business area. The VP will be an exceptional addition to the Social Impact Solutions group leadership team and play a key role in the company’s remarkable journey of impact and growth by translating its vision into transformative change.
Strategy
Synthesize the company and solution group’s strategic objectives and industry trends to identify, recommend and execute initiatives to meet growth goals.
Define, develop, socialize, and implement strategies and solutions to enhance MGT’s Disparity and Diversity market position and drive growth and meaningful community impact.
Adhere to and promote company leadership guiding principles and culture attributes.
Sales and Financial Performance
Partner with the market and sales teams in monitoring bid opportunities and collaborating around responses to RFPs and sole source (unsolicited) proposals.
Partner with other leaders to identify opportunities for cross-selling and cross-collaboration to maximize client value for MGT capabilities.
Attend conferences, networking events and harness established professional networks to increase referral contracts and add-on projects.
Collaborate on the annual budget for Equity practice, outlining the vision, focus, and priorities, and setting specific goals for business performance.
Drive and be accountable for sales, top-line revenue, and EBITDA performance of Equity practice to ensure meet objectives.
Practice-Development
Build organizational capability by leveraging in-depth industry knowledge to anticipate and plan for future capability needs and by ensuring professional development, mentorship, and succession planning.
Orchestrate efficiencies in team capabilities to drive business performance through high-quality project delivery and leveraging diverse perspectives to understand client needs.
Create a problem-solving climate across teams that resolves complex or high-impact delivery issues to resolve critical issues and ensures sustained delivery quality.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field or equivalent disparity or diversity work experience
Five or more (5) or more years of professional experience in building, managing and growing a team within the professional services environment.
Five (5) or more years of experience providing thought leadership and leading the delivery of disparity and diversity solutions in a consulting capacity or related experience.
Experience managing a matrixed team of individuals with varying skill sets.
Strong leadership skills, including people development, team building, and conflict management.
Experience working and building relationships with client executives and with external stakeholders.
Ability to manage, prioritize, and multi-task on multiple projects.
Ability to be flexible to and adapt to the dynamic nature of multiple concurrent consulting engagements.
Ability to travel between 30-50% of the time, depending on the sales cycle and client needs.
Demonstrated skills working and building relationships with firm executives, peers, and support teams.
