Luminary Group, in collaboration with a leading life science company focused on Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Real-World Data (RWD), seeks a skilled Vice President of Data to spearhead data management and analytics initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping data strategy and innovation within the RWE/RWD field, guiding our client's data management and analytics efforts.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the data strategy and roadmap to ensure high-quality and compliant data management and analytics
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the data management and analytics teams, ensuring the delivery of accurate and actionable insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and standards, and establish data governance policies and processes
Manage and optimize data resources, including data acquisition, integration, storage, and security
Champion the use of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to derive meaningful insights from real-world data
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to data management and privacy
Provide data-driven recommendations and insights to support strategic decision making and improve business operations
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Represent the company in data-related discussions, partnerships, and client engagements
Report directly to the CEO and provide regular updates on data strategy and performance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in data management and analytics roles, with a focus on Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Real-World Data (RWD)
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing data strategies and roadmaps
In-depth knowledge of data management best practices, data governance, and regulatory considerations in the healthcare industry
Proven track record of driving innovation in data management and analytics to derive actionable insights
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop data teams
Experience in managing data resources, including data acquisition, integration, storage, and security
Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python) is required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decision making
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities
Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with healthcare data standards is a plus
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
