The Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions will be responsible for leading and executing the company's global M&A strategy. This role involves identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and integrating acquisition targets that align with the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in M&A within the construction equipment industry sector and strong financial acumen, and the ability to travel globally as required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement the company's M&A strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
    • Identify potential acquisition targets and partnership opportunities on a global scale.
  2. Deal Origination and Evaluation:

    • Conduct market research to identify M&A opportunities.
    • Assess the strategic fit and financial impact of potential acquisitions.
    • Perform due diligence, including financial analysis, valuation, and risk assessment.
  3. Negotiation and Execution:

    • Lead negotiations with target companies.
    • Structure deals to maximize value and minimize risk.
    • Coordinate with legal, financial, and operational teams to ensure seamless execution.
  4. Integration Management:

    • Develop and oversee post-merger integration plans.
    • Ensure smooth transition and integration of acquired companies.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of acquired assets.
  5. Stakeholder Management:

    • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and external advisors.
    • Communicate M&A strategy and deal progress to the board of directors and executive team.
  6. Global Travel:

    • Travel internationally to meet with potential targets, conduct due diligence, and manage integration efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
    • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a significant portion in the construction equipment industry or a related field.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading and closing M&A deals.
    • Experience with international transactions and managing cross-border integration.
