The VP of Integrated Media is a deeply experienced, strategically minded, results-focused individual who sets the agenda at all levels and brings a track record of success across brand activations, offline, online and partnerships. This position requires visionary leadership skills, the ability to always think strategically—ahead of and beyond the ask—and is a direct opportunity and pathway to our highest leadership level.


The VP of Integrated Media oversees the media activity for all brands with an omni-channel focus—owning multiple substantial budgets in order to orchestrate repeatable and scalable results across key marketing channels and tactics. This individual spearheads, collaborates and leads team members on both strategy and execution to optimize marketing budgets against clients’ goals.


The VP of Integrated Media exercises broad-based organizational leadership by being a cross-functional leader and has a proven track record of managing teams, internal stakeholder relationships, and online/offline media strategy and activation. This individual has broad visibility across clients’ businesses and collaborates with peers in Account Management, Strategy, Creative and Analytics as well as the Executive Team. The VP of Integrated Media is focused on building overall people and organizational capabilities to ensure GS&F drives and achieves its business strategy. This individual also serves as an advocate for their team, the department, our agency and our clients.

GS&F is seeking a proven and experienced VP of Integrated Media to join our team. The role requires a blend of creativity, science, psychology, tech savvy and innovation. This individual strategizes on how teams and brands should communicate across the ever-evolving landscape of media channels, and how to do that differently from every other brand. This individual demonstrates media prowess in service of solving big brand and business challenges. Harnessing the broadest meaning of “media,” the VP of Integrated Media leads a full suite of marketing communications solutions, including traditional and digital media, tentpole integrations, cultural activations, content, tech innovation, influencer marketing, digital partnerships and real-time marketing. This individual should also be fluent and capable in all aspects of earned and owned communications with the ability to collaborate and lead—if needed—in these areas due to business demand.


Essential qualities include a positive attitude, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and professional communication skills. The ideal candidate will excel in creating innovative media strategies and leveraging data and technology to achieve business success.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • We believe that years of experience is just a number. That said, typically someone in this role has a minimum of 10-15 years of integrated media experience and has previously held positions as a Group Media Director, Media Director or similar.
  • Required: Previous experience at an advertising agency, media agency or similar integrated media organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and vision for all aspects of paid, owned and earned media and how they work reciprocally with other agency teams.
  • Proven ability to partner with the Executive Leadership team and other agency leaders to develop and execute the agency’s long-term vision, goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Expertise in leading the development and implementation of innovative business strategies to drive growth, profitability and market differentiation.
  • Deep understanding of digital media platforms, technologies and trends with expertise in programmatic advertising, data-driven marketing and audience targeting.
  • Proactive in conflict resolution with the ability to identify, manage and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to develop thought leadership perspectives, proposals and reports. Stays current on media trends, integrations, industry benchmarks and more.
  • Committed to developing the skills and knowledge base of junior team members while supervising, advising and mentoring all Integrated Media team members.


TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient in media planning and buying software tools including but not limited to: FreeWheel/Strata, Nielsen, Comscore, GfK MRI, Scarborough, SRDS, Kantar, Workamajig and familiarity with digital tracking and platforms such as DCM as well as any other emerging media technologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint

Given the nature of this role and the clients assigned to this position being located in Nashville, TN we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to Nashville in the near future (first 90 days of employment).
