About Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital & Jeff Gordan Children Center: Our Levine Children's Hospital, the most comprehensive between Atlanta and Washington, DC, provides high-quality pediatric care close to home, treating more patients daily than any other hospital in North Carolina. It features the region's first 24/7 pediatric emergency room and specialized critical care transport via MedCenter Air.


Levine Children's Hospital offers the region's only pediatric cardiovascular surgery program, ECMO capabilities, and top-level neonatal care, including cardiac and fetal surgery. We are the region's only pediatric transplant program and extensive dialysis services. Recognized for its excellence, Levine earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission for its neonatal care.


Our Jeff Gordon Children’s Center, affiliated with Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital, provides comprehensive pediatric care for patients from birth to age 18 in Cabarrus and surrounding counties. Services include neonatal intensive care, pediatric progressive care, endoscopy, surgery, and the region’s only pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit. Additional support includes Child Life specialists, pet therapy, specialized pediatric transport, and a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center.




HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

The Vice President (VP), Facility Executive is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the highest quality of care for pediatric patients. This executive role involves overseeing clinical and administrative operations, developing and implementing policies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The VP/Facility Exec will work collaboratively with other hospital leaders to drive continuous improvement and excellence in patient care, safety, and satisfaction.


The VP, Facility Executive, Levine Children’s Hospital is responsible for the overall operations of Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) and Jeff Gordon Children’s Center (JGCC). The Facility Executive reports to the SVP for Children’s and serves as the executive of their facility responsible for achieving day to day operational excellence. The Facility Executive relentlessly pursues efficiency and effectiveness to create the best place to work and serve our patients, families, medical staff, nurses, and teammates.




POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Primary focus on execution of Operational Excellence- top decile performance in Quality/ Safety, Patient Experience, Teammate Engagement, Efficiency and financial performance.
  2. Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of care delivery models and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  3. Leads the fiscal oversight of allocated resources in order to optimize efficient and effective utilization.
  4. Responsible for providing effective and coordinated leadership of patient care for the clinical patient service and support areas.
  5. Works with the Senior Executive team of Levine Children’s to establish a culture and standard of care of excellence, teamwork and high performance throughout Levine Children’s, including evidence-based practices and clinical protocols that represent high quality and cost-effective care.
  6. Implements the vision and strategic plan of Levine Children’s Hospital, and identifies opportunities to enhance and expand existing programs and establish new programs.
  7. Responsible for providing effective and coordinated leadership of patient care for the clinical patient service and support areas.
  8. Ensures compliance with standards and requirements established by regulatory and certifying agencies.
  9. Participates in the strategic planning structures and processes with administration, medical staff and clinical leaders. Assures that appropriate communication occurs with the management and patient care staff related to hospital operations
  10. Promotes the development and use of evidence-based, outcome-driven treatment methods, which are deemed "best-practice" through comprehensive benchmarking of care provided to pediatric patients of comparable severity and clinical risk.
  11. Leads and mentors a multidisciplinary work force, which provides clinically competent, efficient, and compassionate care and services in a professionally challenging work environment.
  12. Supports the activities of the Atrium Health Foundation, participating in community events and representing Levine Children's to the greater Charlotte marketplace.
  13. Collaborates with marketing to enhance the brand strength of Levine Children’s.
  14. Represents Levine Children’s in local, state, regional and national organizations and societies.
  15. Ensures the highest quality of medical care, developing and monitoring key performance metrics in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer of Levine Children’s Hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Graduate from four-year college or university required.
  • A Masters in Hospital Administration or equivalent.


Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • Children’s leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Must have 5 years of progressive management experience, at least at the Departmental Head level, with experience at the executive level in a healthcare organization preferred
  • Must have demonstrated competency in personnel and financial management, interpersonal communication, and management theory and practice
