Based in Cambridge, MA, this role will provide legal support to F-Prime Capital, a venture capital firm associated with Fidelity Investments. The selected candidate will work closely with F-Prime’s investment professionals to support all aspects of F-Prime’s investment transactions, including venture capital investments, follow-on financings, exits and day-to-day support.

The Purpose of Your Role

You will be part of the corporate legal team within Fidelity’s in-house legal department, dedicated to supporting F-Prime Capital.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

  • J.D. required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience at a reputable law firm.
  • Law firm experience required.
  • Experience representing venture capital investors and venture capital-backed companies in a range of matters, including equity and debt financings, mergers & acquisitions, and capital markets transactions.
  • Experience working with NVCA model documents and company capitalization tables.
  • Experience with venture capital funds, including private fund formation, fund management and associated regulatory issues, a plus.
  • Exceptional judgment and range. You will need to excel at quickly analyzing complex legal and business issues in a variety of substantive areas.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and self-directed. You need to be able to work efficiently, under pressure, with varying degrees of supervision, and lead projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Must thrive in a team environment. The hybrid nature of this role includes working in person three days per week in Cambridge, MA and two days per week remotely (note this supersedes Fidelity’s standard working model referenced below).
  • Strong analytical, advocacy, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to advise and influence senior executives and professionals.
  • Outstanding writing and oral communication skills, adaptive to and effective for different audiences.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
